.
I've been playing with the idea of getting back into retail...
it's not like I don't already have enough on my plate
this is just how my mind spins and how my brain works
combine my imagination with my creative spirit
and this is what I visualize
and such a diversity of merchandise
I could keep going with these fun little water color
images being created in my lap
but it seems the page is full
( a brief history... when I was in my 20's I created & operated a very successful lifestyle store,
it was one of a kind and a dream come true. I met a an amazing amount of great people, some as clients and customers and some that worked with me, many still stay in touch and it's success was how I was able to
purchase my sweet cottage overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Laguna Beach, California.
That store was 5000 square feet.
I'm dreaming of something smaller & taking on a partner this time.
I am so NOT fond of paper work ! )
Yes! Please do!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I just ADORE your little watercolor shoppers! Not gonna lie, watercolors are a bit (okay...a LOT) intimidating to me, but you make it look so EASY! And how precious they look all on a single page together! :) Oh, and the store sounds like a GREAT idea. :)
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your "Laguna Art Center" via watercolor!! What great pics!
ReplyDeleteI know it will come to fruition in the NEAR future. Your creative spirit combined with your amazing business acumen...the store is going to be incredible!! :)

I love your "page of dreams" - that sounds like a the best job. LOVE your plate with yellow roses - the long one is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteNew follower!
Love your little watercolors! You are so talented. I have to make a decision today about renting a space to sell my things at a new shop opening up only 1 mile away in our downtown suburb. A dream I've always had. Time is a major factor since I work full time too. I must admit when I saw your watercolors, I was thinking of taking things into the store, but when you said they were customers carrying merchandise out, I was encouraged, that maybe I could be that blessed too. Needless to say, I was touched by your post and it's influence on my decision. Thank you for sharing.
