A season of birds

and nesting

continues with the creation of a ceramic bird nest.

Using cotton strings, paper and clay

with a little bird stopper created to sit on top

and if you peek inside you will see eggs are included.

(I know it looks like string, but trust me the string burns away in firing and what is left is the clay)

This is a messy business!

  3. Your nest and sweet little bird are just gorgeous! I love it! Thanks so much for visiting, and for your nice comments, too. In answer to your question, my husband flies a Cherokee Warrior. We love it! Sounds like you are familiar with planes? Have a great day!

  4. I love your nest - can an average crafter make it, or do you need something special for the clay?
