During the summer months the Sawdust Festival, Laguna Art Festival and the Pageant

A little history on the cottage... fun little facts that you may want to know...

At one time, many years ago, a famous cowboy actor named Tom Mix lived here.

More recently the tony award winning producer Steve Orich and his wife Judy have

stayed for a respite.

And last year Andrew Mc Mahon the singer and song writer stayed here several times

with his beautiful wife Kelly and sweet dog Doris Day while creating new music for a CD

being released later this year.

The cottage and gardens have been featured as a location for a Body Glove bathing suit photo shoot.

  Summerland Cottage is a charming vintage accommodation in a perfect location. Hostess Paulette has thought of everything to make you comfortable. From dishes, pots and pans, corkscrew, coffee pot, a cozy throw to beach chairs, it's all there. She even offers her shared laundry area if needed. The Directv access allows you to record movies and watch at your leisure. The cottage is spotless as if it were brand new and loaded with designer style. The queen bed was comfy and the down-filled love seat in the sitting room was dreamy. As for location, we parked our car across the street in a nice well lit area and didn't use it again until we left to go home. It's a 5 minute walk to a couple of gorgeous coves and Heisler Park. About a 15 minute beachfront walk through Heisler Park puts you at Main Beach and downtown. Paulette is a wonderful hostess!!! And, her little cottage is a perfect getaway.

  The Summerland Cottage is a fantastic find in Laguna Beach and Paulette will make you feel right at home in this perfectly appointed slice of heaven. The cottage is pristine, airy and bright. Artwork by local artists grace the walls. And, it's all a short walk from the best beaches in Laguna. As a former Laguna local, I can tell you that its location in North Laguna can't be beat. It's my favorite neighborhood, totally walkable and utterly charming. So, feel like a local yourself and enjoy your stay at Summerland.   Summerland Cottage was fantastic, and Paulette, the lovely host, was incredibly gracious and welcoming. I highly recommend this gem in Laguna Beach: it's a block from the ocean and a stroll away from downtown. Paulette has provided everything one needs for a pleasant and relaxed stay.   We had a wonderful experience at the Summerland Cottage and we would definitely come back. The cottage is a sweet oasis that is warm and inviting just like the host Paulette, she is really great! The private patio, wash and cottage are very nice. The grill was a major bonus, especially since there is a grocery store right around the corner.   We made a new friend...I had researched so many private places to stay before choosing the Summerland Cottage. If I were you, allow my efforts to save you time and gain peace of mind. Staying at this uber clean quaint cottage was the best choice we made. Paulette is a classy artistic hostess. The location is directly across from the beach. The cottage sits behind the main house, but we still had ocean view from our very own private courtyard. My fiance is a big guy and the queen bed with the sumptuous sheets and pillows was very comfortable. The cottage had everything we needed. She definitely paid attention to details. We plan on staying here again when we return to the Laguna area in the Spring.

  The Summerland Cottage is your must-stay place when you're in Laguna Beach. The cottage is absolutely adorable and I was about 2 minutes away from Heiser Park and some of the best views of the beach. Paulette is by far my favorite Airbnb host. She called me to make sure I was okay and knew how to get to the cottage. She was very helpful and welcoming. I need to plan more trips to Orange County so I can stay with Paulette again. :)

The property was cozy and very comfortable, and was literally steps from the quiet Heisler park/beach. Can't wait to go back!
